February 6: Preggy Days
February 13: Love Letter
February 20: Feeding Time
February 27: Bonding Time
I guess I'm a few days late--I don't know why I thought this was a Monday meme--maybe the big M on the button that screamed MONDAY at me--Oh well, I'm just a few days off! This week's theme is Preggy Days--Oh joy!
Lovely, eh? The picture is small on purpose because you can see tired mama's mega-bra... :) I did not love weeks 6-14 of my pregnancy with Kate--the nausea was hellacious... After that, though, I felt like a glowing preggy lady!
My husband had the brilliant idea to take pictures as my tummy grew...
Okay, maybe it was my idea--but clearly I wasn't thinking rationally--who wants to look at an exploding belly and a mommy with teacher arms? And who dressed me--good golly--Teal makes me nauseous without being pregnant!
Regardless--I have several of these belly shots floating around on different disks and hard drives--who knows which month is which--but I do have them so I can show Kate someday that she actually came from me :)
We named Katie early on--Kate Alexandria--and talked to her throughout the pregnancy--she was a very active baby! And I couldn't wait to meet her in person...
(We had tried to get pregnant for like 8 years--and when it finally happened, I tried to cherish even the really hard days...) Because of the breast cancer that I developed after Kate was born, I will not be able to have children again--which is hard to accept, but I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to be pregnant with my little angel!
Here's me at nine months... kidding! I think I'm into my fourth month here--I started showing early! But who really wants to show off preggy pictures--don't we really want to show off our baby once she's born!
Those first few months were incredible! I was incredibly glad to finally have you in my arms with those adorable chunky cheeks... Love you Kate!
